What are Missions? They’re contests. With prizes. tvC merchandise as well as awesome gizmos like memory cards, usb drives, etc.

Da Rulez:

1) Submitted photos must be taken during the month they are entered, categories with only one entry won't be judged, get your friends to submit as well.

2) Original work only. If it ain’t yours, ya can’t use it.

3) Email all submissions to missions@thevisualcollective.com and they will appear on thevisualCollective’s Facebook wall. Caption your submissions with the name of the mission and any other pertinent info. Submit as many photos as you like, but please edit your pick carefully, quality over quantity, more entries does not increase your chances of winning.

4) Deadline for each Mission is the Tuesday before the monthly PhotoWalk. Winners will be announced in the Newsletter and on the blog, prizes can be claimed at the PhotoWalk. It is up to you to contact us with your info if you can't make it to pick up your prize in person.

Who Needs A Camera - Open monthly: Best "alternative device" image; i.e., cell phone, tablet, pipboy. May utilize device apps to modify image. Email images, description of device/app to missions@thevisualCollective.com -- Prize: Limited Edition tvC branded swag. Deadline::July 24

The Culminator v.2 - Best series of five (5) images, on any theme shot at any time (although isn't new work always better?) All need to have a low-fi look/quality. Basically put away the 1Ds and 85mm L-Series primes, ditch the noise reduction/sharpening. Bust out the cell-phone, plastic or antique camera and/or get creative with filters/textures in post.
