Salutations and Hello, Friends.

A few words from me, Andrew, this afternoon:

Matt, Taylor and I will be manning a booth at Northern Arizona University's Welcome Week tomorrow and Wednesday at the University Union and Dubois Center, respectively. Swing by, say "Hi", snag some free swag [we're giving away stickers, pins and ideas!], and enroll in some of our myriad upcoming workshops and trips!

Speaking of upcoming trips and workshops; this Sunday, September 4, we will be hosting a workshop at the Lava River Tubes just north of Flagstaff, AZ off Route 180. We will be meeting in Downtown Flagstaff around 10:00A and heading for the tubes with cameras, lights, and whatever other gear we can carry. We will be setting up some EPIC lighting and giving participants the opportunity to fine tune the arrangements and nab a truly unique image a la 'Planet Earth'. Workshop fee is $20. Come dressed appropriately [it's very brisk in the tubes, year round] and be sure to pack a headlamp and flashlight. Helmets are recommended but not required. Snacks will be provided.

In addition to the September workshop, Oct. 14, 15, 16 we will be hosting a hike and assortment of workshops into Havasu Canyon and exploring the unique and awe-inspiring Havasu Falls. 3-Day trip fee is $150. Includes registration, camping and workshops. Due to the nature of the approach and exit, individuals will be responsible for packing their own food in.

We'll also be hosting a Halloween Overnighter Spooktacular sometime toward the end of October. Details to follow.

The Visual Collective will be Partnering with lanternCity Media and an assortment of local organizations and businesses this winter to produce a short documentary capturing the essence of mountain town life in winter. If you or anyone you know is interested, please send inquiries to info@thevisualcollective.com.

That about wraps it up for me, folks. Stay well, welcome back to all students of NAU & best of luck this term!

Cheers,
Andrew
