Both utilize an on-camera ring-flash. Goes to show that just because your flash is attached to your camera doesn't mean the image has to be 'ugly'. Your submission may use flash in a totally different way so get out there and start shooting...custom fabricated speed-light spot-grid on the line for the winner...
